I always wanted to live in Alaska. I was 14 when I first made the decision. Everyone in my little town in Connecticut thought I was either delusional or crazy or both. Ten years later, I moved here for good. Now after 21 years as an Alaskan teacher and principal I've retired from education to focus on writing, running dogs, and being with my family. I'm hard at work writing a memoir and training our 18 Alaskan huskies.
